Thermometer animator: Melissa Lamb
Melissa Lamb was born in Thailand in 1989 and came to Australia with her family as a ten year old.
During High school she thought she wanted to become a pilot and threw herself into studying physics and maths, and working at Pizza Hut to pay for flying lessons.
To her surprise she began to enjoy sketching the scenery around remote airports and aircraft parked on the tarmac more than she thought possible and ended up turning down the opportunity to study aviation at Griffith to build up an art portfolio, attempting to be admitted the animation course at Queensland College of Art.
She finished her degree in 2010 and now lives in West End freelancing and teaching stop-motion workshops to kids.
